After a hectic Round 2 full of nail-biters, unexpected twists and rising momentum, we’re back tonight (Thursday 6 November 2025) for Week 3 of the Gauteng Premier Division in the Supa Pro League. The cue balls are ready, the chalk is out! Let’s dive in.
Recap of last week
Round 2 gave us the full menu: big wins, narrow losses, and a few players who started flexing serious form. Everyone’s sharpening up now.
- Some matches were won convincingly, others went down to the last rack, showing just how tight things are getting.
- A few players who looked a bit shaky in Week 1 stepped up, which means we can’t take anyone lightly going into tonight.
- The leaderboard’s beginning to take shape, but there’s still plenty of movement ahead.
Match-ups for tonight
- 19:30 – Shane vs Quinton
- 20:30 – Lucas vs Llewellyn
- 21:30 – Ketan vs Aron
- 22:30 – Nsovo vs Nico
Match-by-match preview
19:30 – Shane vs Quinton
Both players gunning for points tonight as Shane needs to hold or improve his current ranking while Quinton is struggling to dig his way out of bottom position. Shane will be attacking from the outset and we hope to see Quinton bring the positivity we saw in the qualifiers.
20:30 – Lucas vs Llewellyn
Season 2’s number 1 vs Season 1’s number 1. Llewellyn finds himself in Lucas’s familiar position from season 1. But it must be said Llew’s match last week wasn’t nearly as exciting as the match before and he’ll be looking to get some apples under his belt tonight to extend his lead again. The ever-consistent Lucas suffered his 1st loss last week and is needing some of that previous consistency he had from last season.
21:30 – Ketan vs Aron
Both players find themselves mid table in the rankings with just 1 point apart. With just 3 & 4 points separating them from current number 1, they need to both rack up some serious points to get them battling for the top side of the leaderboard. Contrasting styles of play will make for an interesting match-up.
22:30 – Nsovo vs Nico
Both these players are very familiar with each others games as they played juniors together for many years. Both have won U18 & U23 South African titles in the same year, Nsovo doing it the year after Nico set the record. Nsovo more of the percentage player will be up against the “Fearless” Nico who finds finishes from literally any position. Just 3 points separate the two on the leaderboard.
Final word
Tonight’s Round 3 promise: Rivalries renewing, pressure mounting, and a shot at momentum for anyone chasing it. Whether you’re watching live at the club or tracking updates, keep your eyes peeled for those tight frames, big breaks, and the players who refuse to give up one rack.
Lock in, bring your A-game, and let’s make it a cracking night of pool.
