The SPL has already secured a R100,000 guaranteed cash payout for its first two seasons in the Premier Division in Gauteng. This ensures that players for the current season and those being promoted have an opportunity to compete for their share of R50,000 per season. With a season lasting just eight weeks, featuring only eight players, and an entry fee of just R1,000 at this stage—well, you can do the math.
With cash injections from two companies already secured pre-launch, we’re excited to see what lies in store for the league and its players in the weeks and months to come. Once this goes national, we envisage substantial seasonal payouts for players within a very short period.
